What’s the difference between legal custody and physical custody? 🤔
Physical Custody, which is called Parenting Time in Arizona, refers to when your child will be in each parent’s home. Each parent handles the child’s daily care — such as meals, baths, activities, homework — during their own Parenting Time.
Legal Custody, known as Legal Decision-Making Authority in Arizona, refers to making important decisions regarding your child’s medical, educational, and general welfare needs. It does not apply to daily parenting decisions in the other parent’s home.
